Abstract

Abstract By use of the thermal Bethe ansatz (TBA), one-dimensional hard-core Bose gas at finite temperature is studied. High temperature and low temperature expansions are explicitly calculated. The classical limit gives a new derivation of the Tonks equation while the low temperature expansion confirms that the system has the central charge c=1 in the context of the conformal field theory.
