Optical evidence for Aharonov–Bohm effect in quantum tubes

Abstract

Abstract We present an optical evidence for Aharonov–Bohm (AB) effect in InAs quantum tubes fabricated by a selective area-metal organic vapor phase epitaxy. The oscillations of the photoluminescence peak energies are observed in quantum tubes depending on the magnetic flux through the tube. These oscillations in energies are shown to be due to the AB effect of a charged exciton in a quantum tube by a theory based on the effective-mass approximation.
