Abstract

Abstract Organic compounds are destroyed by flashes combining a high energy and long durations. This general photoeffect proceeds through a photoionization and results from an electron cascade, the build up of which depends on both flash duration and energy. The effective process leading to the destructive electron cascade is a photoacceleration of the electrons.
