Abstract

Land Grant to Edward Moseley, 1711. Original plantation owned by Parson Daniel Earl, Rector of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1757. Present house built by Parson Earl's son-in-law, Charles Johnston, a Scot, who was Senator from North Carolina during Jefferson's administration. Several of the dependencies belong to the 1754 period, including the school house.
