Abstract A spectrographic method is described for the determination of boron (0.2–1.0 p.p.m.) in nuclear graphite and for the estimation of 0.1–0.2 p.p.m. of boron. Neither boron-free graphite electrodes nor additional foreign substances as internal standard are required. Both the electrodes consist of sample powder, properly bakelite-processed. The standard deviation is 10%.
