Abstract

Abstract Using a Stoner-like expression for the magnetic susceptibility of the Anderson lattice, which has been derived earlier within the perturbational approach, we discuss the occurence of magnetic phases at low temperatures. An explicit calculation using an ideal hybridized quasiparticle band structure reveals that Heavy Fermion systems are typically close to a magnetic instability and that modulated structures with nonzero wavevectors are favoured.
