Abstract

Abstract In chromium doped Li 2Ge 7O 15 (LGO) crystals the stationary photocurrent dependence on the visible optical pumping intensity and the effect of additonal IR illumination on the photocurrent drastically depend on the content of Cr ions in different charge states. A model of photoionization, trapping and recombination processes in optically excited LGO : Cr crystals is proposed.
