Abstract

Abstract NADPH-cytochrome c reductase (E.C. 1.6.2.3) has been solubilized from Musca domestica microsomes by treatment with isobutanol. The soluble enzyme has been partially purified by negative adsorption on zinc phosphate followed by chromatography on DEAE-cellulose and hydroxylapatite columns. The enzyme obtained by the above procedure is a flavoprotein with a molecular weight of approximately 57,000, as determined by Sephadex gel chromatography.
