Abstract

Abstract Contributing to the current discussion on differences in ear-acupuncture between the ‘French school’ and ‘Chinese school’ with regard to the localization of therapeutic regions corresponding to the major articulations of the leg, I investigated the therapeutic effect of ear-acupuncture on pressure-pain in the lower limb, both in the fossa triangularis and the crus superius anthelicis. Both regions proved to be therapeutically most effective with pressure pain. The rationale of differences in therapeutic effective regions is discussed.
