Abstract

Abstract A simplification of the uranyl zinc method for determining sodium is described. The method has been found suitable for the routine testing of urine and blood. The method can be used when sodium chloride concentrations are as low as 0.5 mg. per cubic centimeter. Estimations by this colorimetric method have usually checked within 2 per cent of those obtained by the gravimetric method.
