Abstract

Abstract The conductivities (specific conductance) of LiBF 4, LiPF 6 and LiAsF 6 solutions in equimolar mixtures of γ-butyrolactone (γ-BL) with 1,2-dimethoxyethane (1,2-DME) have been measured at 25°C in a wide range of concentrations. Five conductance equations were used to calculate the limiting molar conductivity, A 0, the association constant for ion pairs, K A, and the distance parameter, R, for dilute solutions of LiBF 4, LiPF 6 and LiAsF 6. The differences in the values of the parameters are discussed. The calculations were repeated for a two-parameter version of the equations with R = q Bjerrum.
