Abstract

Abstract We discuss and illustrate several strategies for using technologies in introductory statistics courses. Included are traditional uses of statistical software; extending statistical software with macros for data analysis and simulation; using the Internet to integrate text and software; using the Internet to access information services, data sets, and other resources; posting information on the Web for students to access; using e-mail to have discussions, post information, and ask and answer questions; and downloading files from ftp sites.
