Abstract

Abstract The Mössbauer spectra for the solid-solution 0.965 Cr 2O 3 - 0.035 Fe 2O 3 have been studied at twelve different temperatures in the range 100 – 293°K. The variation of hyperfine field with temperature is found to follow a Brillouin function. The temperature dependence of the quadrupole interaction indicates a small change in the geometry of the cone-spiral.
