Abstract

YBa2Cu3Ox ceramics are prepared by various heat-treatments and are studied using a modified TGA apparatus. The weight of the samples is continuously monitored during the preparation procedure. The prepared samples are also studied by x-ray diffraction and resistance measurements. It is observed that Y-Ba-Cu-O ceramics prepared by slow cooling are better superconductors as compared to the ones prepared by quenching and annealing.
