The purpose of this study was to examine theoretically and empirically what are the characteristics and factor of collaborative school organization culture. For achieving the purpose, related literature and previous research were reviewed. And survey by questionnaire was done using 733 teachers. The statistical methods for analyzing data were descriptive statistics, reliability, and factor analysis. Especially the validity and reliability of 41 items measuring collaborative school organization culture were tested using factor analysis which is resulted in .95 by theta(θ) coefficient. And factor analysis showed six factors which are collaborative leadership, teacher collaboration, professional development, unity of purpose, collegial support, and learning partnership. The initial of each variable and the communality of each variable by principle component analysis were .414～.718, which means that extracted factors explain collaborative school organization culture by about 41%～72%. The results of the study may contribute to understand and build collaborative school organization culture in Korean primary and secondary. Also the results may suggest useful implications for further research on Korean primary and secondary school culture.
