Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the Georeferenced Informatic System (GIS) to assist the study of localization and spatial distribution of those factors involved in the energy consumption at residential sector related to the urban-architectonic design. Therefore, a procedure to make the use of different software compatible for this type of analysis was developed. From a study case, the relational database structures are defined as well as functions linked with those used by the system of Survey and Geodesy Direction of San Juan Province (Arc-Info) to identify parcels and buildings. With the help of AutoCADMAP and MicroSoft ACCESS, queries that relate the different factors of the studied theme are created. The chapters qualify and quantify those factors related to the urban-architectonic design, which have influence in the energy consumption of the residential sector associated to their localization and geographical distribution. With the application of the developed procedure, it is expected to involve institutions and utilities related to the building industry so that they contribute to improve the efficiency in using scarce resources, as it is the energy.
