Rotational heating during IR multiphoton excitation

Abstract

Abstract It is shown that significant rotational heating can accompany the infrared multiphoton excitation of polyatomic molecules. The dynamical effects of this heating on dissociation products are discussed. Results of a simple model are displayed.
