Abstract

Abstract In all twelve known hemophiliacs the thromboplastic plasma component activity was definitely low in quantitative tests with prothrombin and thromboplastic cell component, standard reagents obtained from human blood alone. The function of this deficient factor in the coagulation mechanism is discussed.
