Abstract

Abstract Graphical displays of the differential cross section for coherent photon scattering are presented for elements Z = 2 through Z = 26. The range of photon energies is from 500 eV to 200 keV. The cross sections are theoretical values obtained from atomic form factors calculated with analytic Roothaan-Hartree-Fock wavefunctions. Form factors calculated in this way differ by at most one percent from those calculated with much more elaborate correlated wavefunctions.
