Abstract

Abstract The theory for EC reactions at channel and tubular electrodes is developed. It is shown that first-order rate constants in the range 10 −2 s −1< k<10 2 s −1 can be measured by this method. For faster reactions a plot of E 1/2 vs. log v 0 is found to be linear with a slope of (0.059/3 n) V.
