Three figures at the turn of the century (perhaps 1890s), by what appears to be a man-made body of water as evidenced by brick edge. There has been much discussion about whether this is the old Roslyn reservoir, but it cannot be determined. The old Roslyn reservoir was located at the head of the town. Old timers recall that the reservoir was abandoned when a child got sick, and the city's water was henceforth taken from Domerie Creek. Still, the reservoir remained for backup in case of fire. One resident recalls ice skating on the old reservoir in the winter and swimming there in the summer. When the city finally deemed it a menace and tore out the dam to drain the water, the kids filled gunney sacks with dirt and re-dammed it.
