Abstract

Abstract The fractional composition of the products formed during low-temperature polymerization in the system butadiene-styrene-oligobutadienyl lithium in the presence of subcatalytic quantities of tetramethylenediamine has been studied. It has been shown that complex-formation with tetramethylenediamine reduces the reactivity of the monomeric forms of the active sites but activates associates of such sites.
