Abstract

Abstract The case history, physical examination and laboratory evaluation of the patient with diastolic hypertension should lead to a planned way of life in which diet, hours of sleep and of exercise, long periods of rest and frequent vacations away from the problems of home and stress of business are planned and put into effect, if possible before institution of drug therapy.
