Abstract

Abstract The dynamic properties of the triplet state of zinc tetraphenyl porphyrin and zinc etioporphyrin were investigated by optically detected magnetic resonance (ODMR) methods. The fluorescence detected (FDMR) signal is opposite in sign to that of the phosphorescence detected (PDMR) signal. This suggests an unusual reversal in the relative size of the non-radiative rate constant, from k z n> k n x,y for Zn Etio to k n z < k n x,y for Zn TPP, consistent with studies.
