Abstract

Abstract A method combining DEAE-cellulose column chromatography and cellulose thin-layer chromatography is described which separates nicotinic acid, nicotinamide, NMN, NAD, NADH, NADP, NADPH, and P i, as well as the products formed when NADH and NADPH are treated with trichloroacetic acid. An application of this procedure to nicotinamide-7- 14C plus 32P i incorporation into NAD by adipose tissue and liver is presented.
