Abstract

Abstract Magnetization process of iron cluster with ring structure is investigated by dynamical simulations of the quantum master equation. For Fe 6 and Fe 10, the peaks in the field derivative of the magnetization originate from the Dzyaloshinsky–Moriya (DM) interaction. For Fe 12, in which the clusters deviate from the regular polygon, the cooperative effect of the DM interaction and dipole–dipole interaction becomes relevant. At finite temperatures, the asymmetry of the peaks is found to appear due to the magnetic Föhn effect.
