Abstract The main theme of this paper is control structure selection for open loop unstable processes using “Branch and Bound” method. The method solves input-output combinatorial problem and gives more confidence about the selection due to guaranteed best combination of the selected subset. Simulation results on Tennesse-Eastman process justify the theory
