Abstract

Abstract A number of commercially available strongly basic anion exchange resins have been investigated in order to determine their applicability in the removal of phosphate from wastewaters. Special attention has been paid to the effect of the sulphate ion, which is preferred over phosphate by all of the resins. Some systematic differences were found, which seem to be related to the type of functional group on the resin.
