Abstract

Abstract The dynamic susceptibility of these weakly anisotropic ferromagnets decays in terms of an overdamped oscillation. In zero applied field, the damping increases proportional to M 2 s( T), whereas the resonance frequency Ω d rises linearly with the spontaneous magnetization M s( T). This and the large value Ω d≥20 GHz preclude intradomain precession about the anisotropy field, but rather suggest the dominance of a Polder-Smit type mode.
