The thesis dealt with the characteristics of staff selection and adaptation in the chosen company. This process is compared with the process of selection and adaptation of employees in the parent company in Germany. The research part is done in a chosen company by questionnaire. The process of adaptation is described in detail in this thesis describes the activities in the selection of new employees and adaptation activities carried out by the personnel department and the managers of the selected company. The evaluation is done by comparing the responses of staff and observing the actual process state at HR department and business managers. In conclusion, evaluated the level of adaptation activities in the selected company, compared with the German parent company and the proposal put forward measures for improvement.
