Abstract

Abstract While much progress has been made in treatment of coronary artery disease in China, especially through the numerous cooperative ventures between the Chinese government and the international community, many obstacles remain. Public education of the conservative Chinese attitude toward invasive and interventional therapy of CAD is a formidable task which can only be accomplished by improving the clinical competence of Chinese specialists and the support of health administrators and government departments. Doctors and other healthcare workers in the West can contribute significantly by training the best young people both overseas and in China.
