This paper is concerned with numerical analysis of combined free and forced convection heat transfer on a thin vertical plate. Numerical results were obtained for Pr=0.72,Gr=125 and Re=1∿25 using the finite difference method. The streamline and isotherm patterns which were calculated for several cases clarified the characteristics of the flow field. It was found that the predicted values of overall convection heat transfer coefficient on a thin vertical plate agreed well with the previous results qualitatively. It was also shown that the well frictional drag coefficient distributions of heated surface seemed to be different from those of non-heated surface.
