Abstract

Abstract Compounds R 5Fe 2B 6 (R=Ce, Sm, Tb, Yb) have been investigated by 57Fe Mössbauer spectroscopy. The distribution of the iron atoms in these compounds is on crystal positions having coordination numbers of only 14 and 15. The 57Fe hyperfine parameters of the investigated compounds were determined.
