Abstract

Abstract Silica gel bearing chemically immobilized humic acid (CBHA) has been prepared and used to model the uptake of 110Ag + and 125I − by humic matter. The adsorptive properties of CBHA, as judged by the uptake of these radionuclides, are quite distinct from those of the parent silica gel.
