Abstract

Abstract Some of the unusual features of degenerative-calcific aortic stenosis are best explained by the hypothesis that this variety is characterized by a variable degree of stenosis produced by immobility of the cusps, which is dependent upon left ventricular performance and which may change and become more severe with the development of left ventricular failure.
