Abstract

Abstract The process of sublimation and condensation of various thin films from the Se-Ag-I system is investigated. The kinetic relationships of the processes are determined at substrate temperatures from 295 to 395 K and vaporizer temperatures from 673 to 1073 K. On the basis of these results, the sublimation and condensation energies are determined. The electron microscopic investigations provide information about the morphology and structure of the film, and the conditions for the production of amorphous and crystalline films are discussed. The Auger spectroscopic analysis confirms the good reproducibility and applicability of the method for the fabrication of thin films from the investigated system.
