This collection contains essays and letters of Arnim Wegner: transcript of letter to Hitler following the first boycott of Jewish businesses in 1933, protesting this treatment ("It is the voice of destiny, which she forces out of my mouth: protect Germany by protecting the Jews"`); transcript of Wegner essay entitled "Botschaft an die freunde II." (1962); letter from Präsident der Bundesrepublik Deutschland Heinrich Lübke praising Wegner on occasion of his 80th birthday, correspondence between Leo Baeck Institute and Wegner, 1972 letter from Wegner describes his upcoming projects and work with Goethe Institut, Munich; offprints from publishers for Wegner works (circa 1927); essays regarding Wegner entitled: "Stimme, die von der Erde schreit," by Emanuel bin Gorion (1950); "Neue aus Israel zum 80. Geburtstag von Armin T. Wegner" containing 7 pages of brief essays by Israelis on Wegner; "Wie weit ist es in der Nacht" by "Einalter Jude in Israel"; "Jakobs Kampf mit der Erde" by Dr. Nadja Stein; collection also contains 2 inventories of Wegner's work.
