Abstract

Summary A case of apparent masculinization of the female fetus caused by true hermaphroditism is presented. This patient was diagnosed preoperatively on the basis of chromosomal studies. Chromosomal studies and laparotomies are urged in all cases of masculinization of the female fetus in which estrogen alone is implicated or in which no cause for the condition is elicited.
