Abstract

Abstract 1. Midazolam increases, stimulation-independently, the amount of intennembraneous particles on the sarcolemma of the muscle fibres of the diaphragm. 2. Midazolam does not affect the amount of orthogonal arrays of particles on the sarcolemma. 3. Possible mechanisms for the action of midazolam are discussed.
