The slide reads: "203 NE Perry, 1913, Peoria's 1st funeral home, buiilt 1875." The picture shows the front of the Kingman Home at 203 NE Perry, Peoria, Illinois. The two story brick dwelling has a large front porch with a balcony above it. There is a second smaller balcony above the bay window area next to the porch. The balconies and porch have matching wood railings. The windows in the building are tall with decorative accents above each window. The steps leading up to the porch are bordered by curved railings. The front of the property has a white coping with lamps on either side of the sidewalk leading to the building. A second set of steps lead to the side of the porch. The columns on the porch are decorated with a lattice work and star on each side of the column where it joins the roof of the porch. This building became Peoria's first funeral home.
