Abstract

Abstract The electrical conductivity of thin polycrystalline p-terphenyl films was investigated as a function of electric field, temperature and film thickness. The experimental data may be interpreted in terms of a hopping process between localized sites through a potential barrier lowered by the electric field according to the modified Poole-Frenkel equation.
