Abstract

REB 46 1988 France p. 147-159 M. L. Rautman, Notes on the Metropolitan Succession of Thessaloniki, c. 1300. — Recently published documents are used to clarify the metropolitan chronology of Thessaloniki in the late 13th and early 14th centuries. Other sources reflect the close ties that existed between the prelates of this important late Byzantine city and Mount Athos, which were expressed in metropolitan support of the monasteries of Thessaloniki.
