Abstract

Summary The activity of a small but vocal opposition could render fluoridation politically impracticable. If this is to be averted information must be disseminated and a positive motivation fostered. This in turn requires that the ethical implications be reconciled with the ideals which appear to actuate some, at all events, of the objectors.
