Abstract

Abstract Explicit equations, which take into account the sphericity of the electrode at a DME, have been derived rigorously for the catalytic mechanism with non-Nernstian behavior. Thus, the effects exerted by sphericity of the electrode on the polarographic wave, E 1 2 values and limiting currents are shown. Experimental verification of the theory has been carried out with the Ti 4+/NH 2OH and Fe 3+/NH 2OH catalytic redox systems.
