Aluminium dust has never been shown to be harmful to man in Great Britain. This paper reports a fatal case of progressive pulmonary fibrosis in a young man occupationally exposed to a heavy concentration of fine aluminium dust. Clinically, radiologically, and pathologically this case was indistinguishable from cases of aluminium fibrosis of the lung described by Shaver in Canada. Images
