Abstract

Abstract The hot band structure of the high-resolution Fourier transform spectra of monoiodoacetylene measured in the region of the bending fundamental ν 4 1(600–655 cm −1) with a resolution of 0.0020 cm −1has been studied in detail. In addition, three spectra ν 4+ ν 5− ν 4(180–320 cm −1), 2ν 4 0(1220–1285 cm −1), and (ν 4+ ν 5) 0(Σ +) (850–950 cm −1), outside the ν 4region, have been recorded. The rotational structures of the overtone level v 4= 2 and the combination level v 4= v 5= 1 have been investigated by analyzing the observed spectra with a model that includes the various l-type resonances. Furthermore, the level system formed by the combination levels v 3= v 4= 1 and v 4= 1, v 5= 2 has been studied by taking into account the Fermi resonances and the different lresonances.
