William M. Jones, an avocational archaeologist and resident of Jacksonville, Florida, performed extensive historical research on archaeological sites in northeast Florida from 1952 to 1993. The collection includes his site/historical notes, manuscripts, reports, papers, theses, photographs, letters, maps and illustrations. His documentation refers to the following sites: Big Talbot Island, Camp Finegan,Cedar Point, Florida Ballast, Fort Diego, Fort Fulton, Fort George Island, Fort Heileman, Greenfield - Robert C. Maxey Plantation, John Hewitt Mill Site, Little Talbot Island shipwreck site, Old Gravelly Hill, St. Johns Bluff, San Juan del Puerto Mission, and Twenty Mile Station.
