The bachelor´s thesis examines the issue of consumer behaviour in purchasing for organic grocery products. The work is divided into two parts, a theoretical portion and a practical portion. The first part is concerned with the basic concepts related to the issue. Furthemore, it also informs about the authorities, supervising compliance with the legislation on organic farming. The second part deals with the position of eco-friendly groceries on the Czech market and with factors influencing consumer behaviour. A part of the section is a questionnaire-based survey portraying the public´s awareness of the organic share of the grocery market.
