Abstract

Abstract A model storage condition has been produced by the intraperitoneal administration of dextran to rats; dextran accumulates in the liver, in all cellular compartments, and remains there for an extended period because of the absence of a dextranase in rats. The intravenous administration of dextranase entrapped in liposomes produces a rapid decrease in the amount of dextran in the liver.
