Abstract

Abstract A novel chromone derivative, chrysograyanon (1), has been isolated from fresh whole plant of Chrysosplenium grayanum MAXIM. (Saxifragaceae) and its structure was determined to be 3,7-dimethoxy-5-hydroxy-2-(4-methoxy-1β,5α-dihydroxy-2-oxo-5β-methoxycarbonylcyclopent-3-enyl)-chromone (1) on the basis of spectroscopic evidences and X-ray analysis.
